Chill out in coastal Coogee

Chill out in coastal Coogee

Having been to Coogee Beach many times, we thought that the round frames of this range reminded us of the circular lettering in the name. The compact, folding frames make them perfect to chuck into your beach bag along with everything else required for a day at the beach! The small case ensures the lenses are protected whilst you’re jumping waves and the bright colours and polarised lenses mean that your little one’s eyes are protected whilst they are building sand castles.

With its golden sand and crystal waters as well as a vibrant, but less busy than Bondi, atmosphere, Coogee Beach is the perfect place to unwind by the ocean. There is an array of cafes and restaurants to suit your mood - whether it be a casual snack to enjoy on the sand or a gourmet meal overlooking the ocean.

One of the most iconic features is the historic ocean baths, which have been a beloved landmark since the early 20th century. These saltwater pools provide a picturesque spot to swim, surrounded but stunning ocean views and art deco architecture.

The name Coogee is believed to have originated from the Aboriginal word “koojah” meaning “smelly place” due to all the seaweed that would often wash ashore. During the year, Coogee Beach hosts a variety of community events and festivals which showcase the vibrant spirit of the local community and give visitors a glimpse into the Australian coastal culture.

One of the highlights of a visit to Coogee Beach is the breathtaking coastal walk that stretches all the way to Bondi Beach. The scenic trail winds along rugged cliffs and provides both panoramic vistas and secluded coves along the way.

So if you want to get some sand between your toes and have a dip in the Pacific Ocean grab your kids, their Coogee sunglasses, bathers and towels and head on down to Coogee Beach!
